RE: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF LONDOROS JUNCTION-LEMOSHO STARTING POINT
Dear esteemed customers,
Due to ongoing heavy rain all over the country, Kilimanjaro National Park has experienced road infrastructure (drifts and culverts) damages especially on the side of the Londorosi Junction to Lemosho starting point. Some drifts and culverts has been completely washed away making the road not passable for users including our tourists to Mt. Kilimanjaro via Lemosho route.
Due to this unavoidable circumstance, the Park Management has temporarily closed the road with effect from 13th May 2017 to allow maintenance. For safety reasons, we are therefore kindly request/advice our esteemed customers to use other access roads/routes for climbing the mountain during this particular time of road repair. You will be notified on the re-open date as soon as possible.
The Park Management would like to extend its sincere apology for any inconveniences caused by this natural catastrophe.
Please inform your members respectively.
